04 As part of the Michell Group, Sorani Farm has developed an Alpaca Breeding Stock Information Catalog for Huacaya breed alpacas.
The catalog provides breeders with the opportunity to select genetically superior sires based on their specific needs, whether to improve fiber diameter or fleece weight separately.
This methodology allows breeders to identify sires with the best Breeding Value (BV) and determine how close or far they are from the population average, facilitating an informed and precise selection process.
These breeding stock alpacas have been carefully selected to enhance fiber quality and herd profitability across the country.
We offer Peruvian alpaca breeders genetically evaluated sires to be used as genetic improvers.
Through these programs, Sorani Farm reaffirms its commitment to advancing the alpaca livestock industry in Peru, contributing to the strengthening of the industry and promoting sustainable and profitable breeding practices.
