At Sorani, we understand that the success of the alpaca industry is not only measured in terms of production but also by the positive impact we can create for communities and the environment.
Our commitment to social responsibility is reflected in various initiatives designed to improve the quality of life of herding families, promote education, and support animal welfare.
The Michell Group, together with Sorani, has implemented an important social initiative: Mirasol School.
This school, founded over 19 years ago, is located in the heart of Sorani Farm and provides free primary education to children from alpaca-herding communities.
Each year, more than 50 children benefit from this program, and many go on to continue their education—such as a former student who now works at Michell’s production plant in Arequipa.
