At Sorani, we take pride in being global pioneers in the development of technologies applied to alpaca farming.
We have made significant innovations in livestock practices and advancements in the science applied to alpaca production.
Moreover, these innovations contribute to the global leadership of the Michell Group in Sustainability and Animal Welfare.
Sorani Farm promotes research programs and fosters strategic alliances to strengthen innovation, improve alpaca production, and contribute to the sustainable development of the industry by collaborating with national and international institutions:

With the goal of promoting the development of reproductive technologies and innovation in alpaca breeding, the Michell Group and Sorani Farm have initiated the creation of an Informative Bulletin to share the results obtained within the framework of the Collaborative Research and Development Program.
Thanks to the collaboration of industry professionals and the Sorani team, new foundations are being established for more efficient and sustainable alpaca breeding, generating valuable information on the progress of the alpaca industry.
The latest edition of the bulletin details the achievements obtained to date in various areas, including:
Results obtained from the advanced genetic selection of animals, aiming to optimize productive and reproductive traits.
Detailed reports on advances in in vivo and in vitro embryo production, marking a significant step in improving alpaca reproduction.
Progress in semen collection and preservation techniques, as well as improvements in artificial insemination practices, contributing to the enhancement of genetic quality in herds.
